The Clippers are slowly creeping up in the NBA standings after hitting a purple patch this past week. After going on a five-game losing streak to start the month of December, Ty Lue’s men won their past four matches through the vintage performances of their veteran stars. They will play the second game of their five-game homestand against the Kings.
Elsewhere, the Grizzlies, Jazz, and Lakers will host the Sixers, Celtics, and Pistons to round out tomorrow’s four-game slate. Despite the lean schedule, fans should get their usual dose of NBA 2025 highlights.
Instead of the usual three-game primer, SBOTOP offers a complete preview (including the NBA 2025 odds) of all the games this Tuesday evening.
Philadelphia Sixers @ Memphis Grizzlies
The Sixers are on a three-game losing streak. They’re coming off a 129-104 loss against the Thunder on Sunday, as Philadelphia were without star center Joel Embiid (foot).
Tyrese Maxey had 28 points, five rebounds, and four steals on 10-for-18 shooting from the field in the losing effort, while Quentin Grimes, Justin Edwards, Paul George, Adem Bona, VJ Edgecombe, and Jared McCain added 13, 12, 12, 11, 10, and 10 points, respectively. Maxey is on his way to secure his second All-Star selection after placing fourth overall in the first All-Star voting returns.
Ja Morant recently returned from an ankle injury, but the Grizzlies couldn’t capitalise in their recent defeat against the Wizards. Jaren Jackson Jr. had 31 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks on 11-for-25 shooting in 31 minutes, while Ja Morant, Santi Aldama, Cedric Coward, and Jaylen Wells added 21, 14, 11, and 11 points.
Memphis will be without Vince Williams Jr. (knee) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (hamstring), while Jock Landale is day-to-day due to a calf injury.

Boston Celtics @ Utah Jazz

The Celtics have won four of their last five, fueled by Jaylen Brown’s All-NBA-calibre performance. After averaging 32.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 steals, Brown won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award in Week 10.
Boston are hoping to bounce back from their 114-108 defeat against the Blazers on Sunday to maintain their hold on the East’s third seed. In the road loss, Brown had 37 points, seven rebounds, and four assists on 14-for-23 shooting from the field, while Anfernee Simons, Hugo Gonzalez, Derrick White, and Neemias Queta added 13, 13, 12, and 11 points.
The Jazz are coming off back-to-back wins over the Pistons and the Spurs, following a four-game skid. Against San Antonio, Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George combined for 57 points, while Walter Clayton Jr., Jusuf Nurkic, and Brice Sensabaugh added 17, 16, and 11 points.
George is questionable for the Celtics match due to illness, while Ace Bailey (hip), Georges Niang (foot), and Kevin Love (rest) are ruled out on Tuesday.

Detroit Pistons @ Los Angeles Lakers
The Pistons are keen to return to winning ways as soon as possible. The Eastern Conference frontrunners will face the Lakers to wrap up their five-game West road trip tomorrow before returning home to face the Heat on Thursday.
Detroit are fresh from a 112-99 loss against the Clippers on Sunday. Cunningham had 27 points, five rebounds, and nine assists on 9-for-18 shooting from the field in the losing effort. Jalen Duren and Jaden Ivey chipped in 18 and 11 points.
The Lakers snapped their three-game losing streak with a 125-101 win over the Kings after JJ Redick put them on blast on Christmas Day. Luka Doncic and LeBron James combined for 58 points. Los Angeles will be without Austin Reaves for a significant period due to a serious calf strain.

In their last game against the Pistons, the two-time NBA champion dropped 55 points (career-high), 11 rebounds, five steals, three blocks, and five three-pointers on 17-for-26 shooting from the field and 16-for-17 from the free throw line. James Harden and Nicolas Batum added 28 and 12 points.
As noted, the Kings lost to the Lakers on Sunday. DeMar DeRozan had 22 points, four rebounds, and five assists on 8-for-17 shooting. Maxime Raynaud, Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Nique Clifford, and Malik Monk added 16, 13, 11, 11, and 11 points. Keegan Murray (calf) is questionable to play, while Zach LaVine (ankle) and Domantas Sabonis (knee) are ruled out.
